Mission team serving in Volta Region

Bringing Hope and Sharing the Gospel in Woe

From August 17th to August 25th, our team embarked on an incredible mission trip to Volta Region, a journey filled with divine encounters, joyful service, and countless opportunities to share the love of Christ. Our hearts were stirred, and our faith deepened as we witnessed God's hand at work in every moment.

The Call to Serve: Why Woe?

The selection of Woe was not accidental, but the result of persistent prayer and divine connection. For years, zoe-Tirzah has felt a burden for the people in the volta region, a community rich in culture but often struggling against deep spiritual and physical poverty. Specifically, we were led to partner with Pastor Emmanuel and the burgeoning christians in Woe. Their ministry models genuine Christ-like service—meeting immediate needs through a children's feeding program while faithfully sharing the Gospel. Our mission was to answer their direct call for support, providing both manpower for a critical church expansion project and training resources for their local evangelism teams, thereby magnifying their ongoing efforts in discipleship and community development. This trip was about linking arms, not just visiting, and affirming our commitment to the long-term spiritual flourishing of this specific community.

Sharing the Good News: Evangelism Highlights

The core of our mission was to share the transformative message of Jesus Christ. We engaged in various outreach initiatives, from open-air evangelism in bustling marketplaces to intimate conversations in homes and community centers. Many heard the Gospel for the very first time, and we rejoiced as individuals and families made decisions to follow Christ.

  • Marketplace Ministry: We set up a small station where we offered prayer and shared testimonies, drawing curious crowds.
  • Home Visits: Partnering with local believers, we visited homes, building relationships and praying with families.
  • Youth Outreach: Organized sports events and creative arts workshops, using these platforms to share biblical principles.
"Seeing the joy on their faces when they understood God's love for them was truly overwhelming. It's why we do what we do." — Deacon Kobby

Hands-On Ministry: Serving the Community

Beyond verbal proclamation, we believe in demonstrating God's love through practical acts of service. Our team participated in several community projects designed to meet tangible needs and build bridges of trust.

Team building something Team helping children

We assisted in renovating a local school, distributing aid, running a medical clinic, and helping with clean water initiatives. These efforts not only provided immediate relief but also opened doors for deeper conversations about faith and hope.

God's Provision and Miracles

Throughout the trip, we witnessed God's faithfulness in incredible ways. From unexpected financial provisions to miraculous healings and divine appointments, His hand was evident. One evening, while praying with a woman suffering from chronic pain, she suddenly felt an intense warmth and declared herself healed, praising God with tears in her eyes. It was a profound reminder of God's power working through us.

The Lasting Impact: What's Next?

Our mission to Volta Region may have concluded, but its impact resonates deeply within us and, we pray, within the community we served. We saw 100 people give their lives to Christ, 30 children receive educational support, and countless seeds of hope planted.

We continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Volta Region and are exploring future opportunities to support the work there. This trip reinforced our conviction that God is moving powerfully around the world, and He invites us to be a part of His redemptive plan.
